We believe that youth can only achieve self-actualization when they play the most important role at every stage of the organizing process. Young Voices uniquely involves students in its highest levels of decision making, from leading our policy initiatives and facilitating community discussions, to serving on our Board of Directors.

Educational Equity
We envision a future where all Rhode Island schools prioritize student-centered inquiry. We work to create a classroom environment where youth are in charge of their own learning by standing for restorative justice practices and standing against high-stakes testing, racial disparities in disciplinary policy, and police presence in schools.

Transformational Leadership
We seek to embolden the lives of youth well beyond their high school years. Through our innovative leadership training that provides essential 21st Century skills in public speaking, policy analysis, critical thinking, and communication, Young Voices prepares students for success in college, career, and civic life.
